Has anyone had their unlimited plan expire and their former buckets restored? I'm still three months out from my unlimited plan expiring (have a screenshot of the date/buckets) but wondered if anyone's had expired and if their buckets were restored automatically with no issues. TIA!

@Ainhisg : No. Received text message that effective 2/11/26 their Terms and Conditions were changing. Tried to read it.
My unlimited plan ends 10/26.
I am tried of all the changes that I had to make in 2025 and so far 2026.
I love the convience and safety with a cell phone but trying to keep the cost very low.
Maybe someone else will be able to help you.

I've had a tracfone for severall years and, yes, I have refilled it with unlimited minutes.
Go to their website and it will show the packages available when you need a new one. The offers change.
My refills are very inexpensive!

I actually read through the new terms that they notified about in a text message.
I couldn't see anything that would affect regular users. There was information about older phones/packages that had double or triple minutes. It seemed that they would remain, but only on the phones currently being used.
If someone switched to a new phone, that would no longer apply. At least that's how I read it.
There was also something about international calling or texting. I didn't bother with that.
I have a smartphone and have for many years, so it didn't affect me. I'm not worried about any of it; still happy with my Tracfone.

@Ainhisg .. I have it set up that my Tracfone automatically refills each year. But, you have to make sure you click the box to do it. I think, otherwise you will lose service as texts, minutes and data run out.
Or, you can just add those items as you need them and not sign up for a year.

OP here. I must not have explained the situation correctly. lol I have service days through May 22, 2026. I switched to an unlimited plan on April 17, 2025, and per Tracfone's website, all minutes/data/and texts (my buckets) were frozen. When my unlimited plan runs out on April 16, the buckets (again--per Tracfone's website) are supposed to be restored, since I still have another month of service days in which to use the buckets. I just wondered if anyone had already gone through this, and if it worked like Tracfone's website said it would.

If you do not purchase and add air time before the service end date, your service will be deactivated and you will lose your phone number even if you have minutes remaining. I have my calendar marked to remind me.

Right, I'm not asking about the service end date, I'm asking about the buckets being reactivated when my unlimited plan runs out, which is a month before my service end date. See my second post right above your post.

I wonder if someone here can explain to me what I should do. My tracfone expires March 10, 2026. What do I have to do to keep it
I am quite elderly and have no one to explain it for me to keep and their new rules.
I would greatly appreciate any information so I can keep it. Don't want to have to buy a new one. I just text on mine because ,no one in family uses my landline, so I have no other way to communicate.
Thank you.

Call Tracfone from your landline..Have your Tracfone charged and with you...I call them once a year..and add 1 yr. of service and that comes with some airtime...You pay with your credit card and they do it all for you usually in minutes once you get to someone.
I have had my number for 15 years and have the same phone for a few yrs...no problem..Don't wait to do it..if you do it early it adds on to your service date..Ex: if you did it tomorrow..and your expire date is in March 2026 your new date will be March 2027..
DO like I do ..I play the old lady card..and I am an old lady!..LOL
