UPDATED MOZILLA FOXFIRE QUESTION -- HELP

I had to update Mozilla Foxfire before I could get on some websites. Since then it won't let me get into most websites. It says "Untrusted Website" & I can't get into the site. I don't know how to get rid of it & the most alarming is I can't get into "Express Scripts log in" to order my medications. Until I had to update Mozilla I was able to pull up any website. I now need to order my medications as I have been ordering them on line for years. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you remove their Untrusted Website for other sites? I hope that makes sense.

TIA.

Re: UPDATED MOZILLA FOXFIRE QUESTION -- HELP

I uninstalled it on my PC after updates made it impossible to use for most sites and didn't bother trying to reinstall to see if that worked . Now I just use either Google Chrome or any of the other browsers available. I have found that some work better than others for certain things so keep several different ones installed.

Since I have never uninstalled a program, how do I do it? Sorry I am not computer savvy.

Re: UPDATED MOZILLA FOXFIRE QUESTION -- HELP

Go to start then click on control panel. When that comes up click on programs and features. Find the program you want to uninstall and right click on it for uninstall.

I use Firefox, update every time it's offered and haven't had any problems like you describe. Are you sure it's Firefox? I read where you have Browser Safeguard installed which sounds like the problem program.

Google is your friend when having problems. I found this:

"Bypassing the warning

You should only bypass the warning if you're confident in both the identity of the website and the integrity of your connection - even if you trust the site, someone could be tampering with your connection. Legitimate public sites will not ask you to add connection rule exceptions - an invalid certificate can be an indication of a web page that will defraud you or steal your identity.

  1. On the warning page, click I Understand the Risks.
  2. Click Add Exception.... The Add Security Exception dialog will appear.
  3. Read the text describing the problems with this site.
  4. Click Confirm Security Exception if you want to trust the site."

This tells you have to remove Browser Safeguard which is the problem,

it is a ad serving program, probably sneaked onto your PC.

ETA, usually when I have a computer problem I enter my question into my search engine and you will get answers to your question. In this case I searched for Browser Safeguard.
