If my I pad.  Opinions please.  Thank you.

I'm not into UK sports, but LOVE the BBC/ITV/Australian TV mystery and drama series. I subscribed to Acorn TV for $49 a year-- viewable on my pc or Kindle Fire HD or via my Roku box on my HDTV. It is billed as "the best of British TV" but does not include sports. I'm very happy with the service. acorn.tv is the site, with usual www in front.

Hi blinddogs. - thanks for information but I just love u.k.proxy I get four channels of the BBC and their shows plus BBC Iplayer which has top 40 shows -also all ITV channels.  Have not watched any sport at all only the mysteries, baking shows, comedy, etc and of course my soap Eastenders which started this whole quest.  Good to have your Input though in case anything goes awry with proxy t.v.

@dulwich, when I had Acorn TV, the programming was all things that had already been shown on some channel in the US at some point, i.e. programs that US residents are able to see without any blocking, or pretty old programs. It wouldn't be a substitute for a proxy service showing current UK programming not yet available in the US.

@dulwich  just catching up glad to hear you enjoyed it, I love it.  I watched Home Fires this summer via the proxy.

BTW the BBC allows you to download programs and watch later which I recommend ITV doesnt.  there is program on their website to download for that. It is much easier that way
