Time Warner has taken out the option to turn the HD setting off. I have a Toshiba REGZA 42' HDTV I bought 6 years ago. I turned the HD option off all these years and the TV goes through the VCR so I can take live weather coverage as it is my passion. I just remembered the other reason I turned it off. The picture size changes from channel to channel and I have to keep changing in on my TV from either theaterwide 1, 2 or 3, native or 4-3 HD. The full setting is shaded out so I can't use that which I actually like the full screen and nothing cut off on the top or bottom. It is weird because when I am watching a show and set it to where I want it like the Native setting when certain commercials come on the picture size changes itself and sometimes it is a small box in the middle of the TV. Also if I have it on the Native setting and it is what I like if I go to a different channel it is not the same picture size and I have to change it to theaterwide 1, 2 or 3 to get the picture to be the same that it was on the other channel which was on the Native setting. This is crazy. Is there something I have to go to change a setting on mt TV remote to make the picture size more consistant? I have never heard of anyone complain about this.
