I tried to activate my new phone this .AM. and no luck. It is probably me , but I went on line first and after I put in the serial  number and it said to make a call, but it's not activated. Then I called Tracphone, with the same result, I try to turn it on but nada. Any suggestions would be appreciated.  TIA.

You have to turn the phone off then on again then make the call.  I had to do that process three times before it worked.  Hope this helps.

Thanks, I understand that part, however, the wretched thing just won't turn on, I fear that it's going back. Thanks for trying.

@QVCkitty1  Try taking the battery out from the back of the phone and then putting it back in.  I had to do that several times while I was on the phone with Tracfone.  Good luck!

That's a good suggestion. I had to replace a sim card while on the phone with customer service and when I went to turn on the phone it was dead. I opened it back up only to find I had put the battery in wrong. Embarrassing yes, but easily fixed. It's worth a try.
