Going crazy. Do you need a Samsung acct. BEN made it seem simple. Got it activated, but can,t change the ring tones. Figured out voicemail, answering phone and ending call. Not as described in instructions. It made it seem like I had to have a Samsung acct, but I have deleted it. Keep Google acct. I,m 84 and not new to computers, but first smart phone. Thinking of returning. I will take any help please. To get anyone at trackfone, good luck.

@qvcaddition @Dont panic. I have the same phone. It takes time to find everything on it and everything you have to do. I have not used it in the past month so I'll have to relearn whatever I learned before. I went online and found the full mural for the phone and copied the manual on my iPad so I could look up things to do with the phone. I agree that it takes some getting used to.
You will need a TRACPHONE account for the phone. The Samsung account is optional.

Yes, activation means viewing your minutes, text and data usage.
I do not own a Tracfone, but a Samsung smartphone and tablet.
Please seat down to your computer and do a YouTube search, How to set up a Samsung A10e phone.
You will find some helpful videos to get you started.
You do not need a Samsung account. You do need a Google account and a Gmail address.
Please set your phone to use your home Wi-Fi.
You need Wi-Fi to update your apps, receive emails, and use the internet.
You have to play with this phone to learn to use it.
If you have anymore questions or concerns, please post them.

Congratulations on your first smartphone! Don't get too frustrated, you'll get the hang of things pretty quickly. As to changing the ringtone, that's typically done under the "Settings" icon on your phone. There's typically a subcategory called "Sound" where you can find the ringtones.
A smartphone may seem intimidating at first, but they squeeze in a phone, computer, GPS, photo camera, video camera, voice recorder, MP3 player, and more, all into a little handheld portable device, so there's a whole lot to learn. Imagine how long it would take you to become proficient in using all of those devices if you bought them individually. It'll take you a bit to get used to everything, but once you do, you'll wonder why you waited this long to get one. A modern smartphone is a neat device.
Google and YouTube are your friends with new devices. Your new phone is an Android device so looking up "how to ..... on an Android phone" will typically guide you to whatever you need. Your icons may look slightly different or be in a different place on your phone, but the steps will be largely the same on every Android phone.

To send a photo in a text, go to Messages (not Messenger), find the Contact or if you don't have a contact set up yet, click on the little blue circle. Fill in recipient.
Where you type in your message, you should see a little PLUS (+) sign, click on it
It should pull up your photo gallery and you can choose the picture you want to send.
Hope this helps.

i ordered this phone back in January and did not like it. sent it back. there is no home button to answer calls and launch the camera. when the battery over-heated it went right back. some reviews said the battery life is poor.

Thank you. I will try that today and let you know. I did put in contacts and learn how to send texts, also to answer and hang up. The instruction book is different than my phone icons. I will try to use your instructions. Sometime, I think I should have gotten the Jitterbug smartphone for Seniors, but will give this a month. I have the Jitterbug flip top now and very easy to send photos, but this part of the phone stopped working and Jitterbug is not helpful, wants me to buy a new phone. The texting on the Jitterbug is harder to do, but the buttons nice an big. Texting on Trackfone faster. Learning. I have a desk top computer, A Chrome Book, and a Kindle. So, thank God, I am a little use to computers and it's not harder to try to learn this. I will be 84 next week, and can't get friends to help, because they don't have computers and don't know what i am talking about. Thank you again.
