OMGosh, tried three times today to get my triple minutes added to the tracfone. What a hassle. I finally did get them after over an hour on the phone. Others out there just be aware.

I've had them for years and even though my Samsung Centura was the first phone that TracFone did that was with "Text/Data and Talk", it only took a few minutes to do what was necessary to transfer everything to my old phone. It took about 15 hours before it was activated, that is what it said anyways, and I didn't spend any of that time on the phone.
I've done this many times and all of the TracFone's I've purchased have been from hsn, so they made it very easy, even for this first "true smart phone" that TracFone offered Text and Data.

Mercedes, I'm hearing this complaint more and more. Did you buy a minutes card in a store or from Trac Fone? Did you do this over the phone? I'm glad you got it resolved but it sounds like it's a hassle every time someone tries doing it.

I've had many Tracfones over the years. I no longer do things over the phone when it comes to Tracfone. Have had communication issues in the past over the phone. I rarely even try and go online and add minutes or to activate them myself. The best place, I think, for support is on Tracfone's Facebook page. I click support and then "live chat". With QVC's TSV LG 306G phone the live chat person transferred my 4700+ minutes without any issues and then activated my new phone. Now, it did take almost 10 hours for it to activate but they say it can take anywhere from a couple of minutes to 48 hours. Even if I just have a question to ask regarding your Tracfone definitely try their live chat support.

WV, thank you muchly for that info. I just spoke to a rep on live chat and he said I could use the minutes card with the new phone for my phone from last year. I will go back to that live chat and see if I can do that. I've heard so many horror stories from people who have spent hours on the phone trying to add minutes, etc. Thanks again!

I've done it several times, online, in a matter of minutes. That's the key, don't call, do it online. Activation in less than 30 minutes.
