I'm glad I bought the phone from HSN and didn't wait for QVC. QVC sent out the emails notifying of the cancellation of the LG shows after the Tracfone TS from HSN. The cynic in me thinks QVC did that on purpose!

The cynic in me tends to agree with you....the good news is HSN still has the phone - about 10.00 more than the TS price but still a good buy...

I also ordered 2 of the Tracfones from HSN on Sunday, got their email today that they have been shipped. It will be an upgrade for me & hubby as we just have basic cell phones (Tracfones) now. I hope they are as good as they sounded like they would be. Guess I'll be finding out soon enough. Thanks for all the extra info posted on this thread.

@Snicks1 If you go to YouTube and type in Tracfone LG Sunset, there's a reviewer there who I like.  SaveonPrepaidPhones.  I'm not allowed to link here, but it's the first choice when you go to YouTube (even though it's StraightTalk it's the same phone).  You may benefit from watching that video, it will help make you a little more familiar with the phone.  I hope you love your new phone.

@Snicks1 - And don't forget, Tracfone has interactive tutorials for each of their phones on their website under "Support".  Just type in the name of the phone (or the LG model number, when you get it) and it will give you all the basics of your new phone.  It will be quite different from a basic (non-smart) phone, but so much better!

Have fun!  I think you'll enjoy it.

(Also, you can always come back on these forums and ask questions for things you can't figure out.  I've always found the other posters here very kind and willing to help.)

Those of you that ordered the LG Sunset from HSN, was the activation easy? I don't see a pin number to get the 1350 package minutes. It says it'll automatically be credited. I got mine yesterday but still haven't activated it yet.

Ok, I went ahead and activated according to the blue card, not the red Start Here card. I did it last night around 11:00pm and everything went smooth. My number and exhisting minutes/texts were transferred by this morning when I got up and the bonus 1350 minutes/texts/data was in my account by this afternoon. Very easy. I'm glad because I was reading that a lot of people had issues getting their bonus minutes.

@rplas64 I'm glad your process went smoothly.  I tried to activate online half an hour ago and I got an error message, so I did a live chat on Tracfone's website.  The rep said she transferred everything over, but the new phone still won't make a call.  I know it takes some time to complete the transfer process, so hopefully it will go through soon.  I like the live chat feature.

I had bought two of the phones, (1 each for hubby and myself), both activated with no problems, minutes are there, and minutes from old phone were transferred over with no problems. Glad yours went through quickly also.

I bought two of these and am now packing them up to return at the exorbitant cost of about $16.  Smiley Sad

Even though I checked and it said these would work in my area, in fact, they don't.  I could only get one bar or none; not much use.  It seems the AT&T signal isn't very strong in my areas.  I had to do a lot of digging to find a decent coverage map for AT&T's 4G coverage and found that they are guilty of "overstating it".  They need to be more honest about the coverage during the sales pitch.

HSN didn't include prepaid return labels with these (which would've cost less) so I'm out the money and won't purchase another one of this type.

Another thing I noticed is that, even though the screen is 4.5 inches you have less viewing area because of the virtual buttons on the bottom of the screen.  I compared these side by side with my LG Ultimate II.  The screen is also 5 mm narrower; might not sound like a lot but it makes a difference.

Lastly, I prefer the Gorilla Glass screen on the Ultimate.  I can't be bothered any more with screen protectors.

Bottom line: a bust for me.  I noticed other negative reviews mentioning problems, so it wasn't just mine.

Had to laugh though:  I did an online chat with an HSN rep to make sure that I won't have a problem with the refunds, if I send these back in one box (as they were shipped separately).  He just said there wasn't a "return label with them".  I said "Yes, there is.  It's just not prepaid."  I don't think he had a clue what I was talking about.  So since both labels have a different barcode on them, I think I'll just print out my own and send the phones back UPS.  And, if there's a problem, I have a copy of the chat.
