I have internal storage and I purchased a 16 gb card.

But when I try to install a new App, it tells me I don't have enough storage.   I don't, internally but I do with the card.

How do I tell it to go to the card?

When I take a picture with my phone, it gave me the option.

It seems all my Apps are going directly to internal storage.

I have the LG 56VL, sold on QVC last year.

I vaguely recall a discussion about this here and the answer wasn't pretty.

Any suggestions?

Re: Tracfone Storage Question

I've never added a memory card to my phone but perhaps if you need this much memory and so many apps - a tracfone may not be the best choice for you. Tracfones are more appropriate for those who don't use their phone a ton.

I'm trying to adapt.

I've already done without many Apps I used to have with my $80 per month phone.

Doubt if I will spend $80 a YEAR with the Tracfone.

I have the space, just want to know how to use it.

Bless you!

I had actually tried this before I posted this thread.

Some of the Apps, for some reason don't have the option to switch to SD card.

But I kept at it and found 1 that I was able to move, walking through these instructions.

Thanks so much for posting.

Re: Tracfone Storage Question

Managing storage on a Tracfone Smartphone is the only real problem with the Tracfones. Mine pretty consistently tells me I have over 300 MB's of free space, then tells me there's not enough room to add or update a 15 MB app. Seriously? I should be able to add/update twenty 15 MB apps with over 300 MB's of free storage, but it just won't let you.

You can delete a lot of the apps that come pre-installed if you don't use them and free up more space. (Some you can't delete.) If they ever fix the storage issue, Tracfones would be unbeatable.
