Re: Tracfone Moto G Stylus 5G Smartphone with 1500 Talk/Text/Data

@Venezia @Qgirl26 @gardenman

My new Moto G Stylis 5G phone was delivered Friday morning.

I wasn't used to doing all that swiping.  and got frustrated..

So at 3am  this morning i wasn't able to sleep so i turned computer on and Googled to see if i could changed it...and read that yes it could be changed to  be like the Moto G7 Stylis format with  the 3 settings..

I found a video showing how to  find the settings to change it  back   and now I have the 3 icons back on home page.

Simple to change. No more swipping

So, by researching..i found the answer...and changed it to fit my needs.

Re: Tracfone Moto G Stylus 5G Smartphone with 1500 Talk/Text/Data

@Venezia, @cowboy sam , Sorry again to be so late with my reply. Life has been hectic lately! I'm so glad you both found solutions to your problems. I still haven't activated my new phone but I'm definitely going to keep these things in mind. I've been dragging my feet. Most people love getting new phones but I have been so happy with my Moto G Stylus (not 5G) that if not for the awesome sale price, I would have kept holding off buying a new one for awhile. But I'm definitely keeping your tips in mind. I'm not very tech savvy so I can use all the help I can get Smiley Happy

The price is great, but I'd be a little hesitant to get this because, according to the video presentation, it comes with Android 10. Not sure, but I think Motorola only gets 1 OS update. Also in the video, you see at the 3 minute 16 second mark where it shows that the phone is 4G LTE. I'm confused by that since the description on the webpage clearly says 5G. Is it or not? Don't know. I didn't listen to the entire presentation, so maybe she clarifies that. Anyway, I'm sure it'll still be a great phone. I currently have a Moto G Stylus 4g and have been very happy with it, but this year, I'm trying a Samsung. Good luck with your purchase.

My Moto G Stylus 5G bought from QVC in June currently has Android 12 on it. (I just checked.) And it's 5G. It's a great little phone. And for $60 with a year's service? How do you beat that?

Re: Tracfone Moto G Stylus 5G Smartphone with 1500 Talk/Text/Data

@gardenman --After I read your post, I tried to research this phone a little more. Obviously, the info on the video presentation incorrectly showed it being Android 10. Once I finally found the model number (which I assume is XT2131DL), I saw that it was first available in June 2021 and came with Android 11, which of course meant it would get Android 12, though I don't think it'll get 13.

Anyway, even though I have ordered a Samsung phone, which is on its way, I am now seriously reconsidering my options and am thinking about this one instead. I am, however, still concerned about security patches. Upgrading to Android 13, which as I mentioned, I don't think will happen, isn't as important to me as the security updates. As far as I can determine, looks like Motorola only provides 2 years of those. So, if this phone came out in June 2021, I would think it would no longer receive any additional ones. Would you happen to know about this, because that is now the only reason I'm hesitating about going ahead and ordering this phone.

I can't say for sure how long the phone will be updated, but mine is still receiving updates.

Is this tracfone only good for one year of service? Even if the phone has

minutes left it has to be rolled over to a new phone after a year's time

or you begin to buy phone cards, is this correct?
