I am finding that I have to charge it up twice a week...I don't even use the phone...its only here for emergencies....anyone else have this problem...

I have a Samsung Tracfone and it holds its charge for two or three weeks...don't use that one either other then emergencies....

Am I doing something wrong??? I turned the Wi-Fi off...didn't help...TIA....

I hardly ever use mine either & have to charge it around every 10 days.

Make sure the bluetooth and wifi are off when/if you are not using them. Both will drain the battery, also.

There is no signal in my home - so the phone constantly tries to find a signal and that runs down the battery quickly. When I am in the house I keep it on airplane mode so it doesn't keep searching and doesn't run down the battery.I charge it about once a week.

If it's not your only phone, turn it off when not in use.

Batteries drain whether or not you have the device on or off. Leave it off for a week fully charged and you will see it went down 20-30%. Devices are never entirely off unless it has a removable battery and you pull it, but even then, the battery will still deplete. It's all the rage in the disposable battery world about shelf life and what not.

Do you have the bluetooth or the wifi turned on? These will keep searching for hookups and use your battery up.

I charge mine once a week usually just to make sure it's topped up. I don't want to get stuck somewhere in this awful winter weather and not have it available. But I think, if I just left it, it would only need charging every other week or so. It's not a problem for me. (I have the LG840.)

I do turn mine off unless I'm using it since I hardly use it. If I get it out a week or so later to use it I have to charge the battery first. Makes no sense the battery would run down while it's not being used & turned off. I turn it off because when it needs charged it starts making an annoying beeping noise & never fail it happens at night when we are asleep & it wakes me up. I told DH he better make sure his phone is charged or turn it off when he comes to bed. LOL!!!

LOL!!! NOT!!! I just charged mine yesterday so I will leave it off until next weekend to see. I will still have to take it with me when I leave the house but won't be turning it on unless I have to make a call which is unlikely since I hate talking on the phone.
