I am not an expert on Tracfone by any means, but I see a lot of misinformation and questions posted in this forum. I follow a blog called Tracfone Reviewer, and he is quite good. He has a Facebook page and you can also sign up to receive new emails from his blog page. To do that, which is what I do so that I do not miss new content, you enter your email address in the area provided on the lower right hand side of his blog. Keep scrolling until you see it.
Here is a link to his Tracfone Treasure review, which also provides links to other info you might want. He also gives advice about which Tracfone is best, new models coming out, should you switch from the Ultimate 2 or Sunset to the Treasure, etc.:
Here is the link to the Treasure Interactive Tutorial. For more information, the complete instruction booklet (User Guide) is available in the lower left area of this page under the green bar that says, "Documents."

You are more than welcome. I am glad I could help! I just learned from another poster (Marp) that if you download the Tracfone app to check your airtime, that you need to go into that app's settings and change it or it will turn on your wi-fi continually. Here is what Marp wrote:
If you do not use your phone often but leave it on and have wifi turned off you need to set the app to "disable wifi management" (in the wifi management section of the menu online) or the app will use up your battery. Also, with wifi management on the phone will automatically connect to open hotspots.

I got the new Sunset phone that was offered on HSN recently. It's too much phone and too much trouble for me. I activated it OK but I'm sure the correct minutes probably aren't on it and I have even put my contacts on it. It just sits on the table unused. I think I'm finished with Tracfone.

I thank you also. You have been most helpful.

Here is the interactive tutorial to your phone, and the user guide is in the lower left hand corner under the green documents banner.

There is an app you can install on your old phone and your new phone that will move your contacts and photos for you. In the playstore, search tracfone wizard. That's not the exact name of it, but it is close, and will pull it up.
You can use your computer, laptop, or phone to see how many minutes you have if you don't want to install the app. Go to the Tracfone website, and create an account if you don't have one. There, you can see your phone(s) and check your balance. You can also check your balance without an account, but you will need the serial number of your phone.

I have a question - I am not very informed about the Sunset or the LG Ultimate 2 phone, but the LG Ultimate 2 is on Amazon today for $59. Is that a good price? It appears to be the very same phone that is $89 on HSN. Thanks for any help, as I am new to these tracfones! Thanks!!

The one on Amazon does not include any minutes. The HSN package has a year's worth of minutes and service. With tax, you'd pay about $35 more (give or take) for 1200 minutes/texts/mb of data, which would cost you $99 on the TF website. So getting the phone bundle on HSN is a better deal.
The Ultimate 2 uses Verizon towers, and the Sunset uses AT&T towers. Get whichever phone has the best service in your area. My area has good service for either network, and yours may, as well.
I am the OP, and if you'll go to my original post and click on the first link, you can read about the differences between the two phones. The Sunset uses 4G, which means your internet will be faster (and it really is!) than on the Ultimate IF 4G is available in your area. My husband has the Sunset, and I have the Ultimate.
Personally, I like the Ultimate better even though it is slower. I like where the power button is located, I like the notification light on the front when I have a text or it is charging, and I like the ability to change my settings to answer by hitting the home button. Several of us on here really dislike the swipe to answer feature, and that is all that is available on the Sunset or Treasure.

@Ainhisg, thank you for the info!!! Oh, I went back and looked at the Ultimate 2 on Amazon again and it DOES include triple minutes for life, so it is a better deal than HSN, I assume!! Thanks!
