Tracfone 1000 texts for $5 gone?

I tried to buy my usual 1000 texts and it wasn't available. Had to add talk minutes for $25 to get the texts with it. I use my tracfone mainly for texts. Good bye bargain I guess. Still love my tracfone though.

I went to their website and go to smartphone plans, scroll down its with added benefits. they had 1000 texts, extra data etc,my advice just keep scrolling

I just bought a time card & 1yr service for my flip phone. I did see a 1000 text for $5.00, it's under Add-Ons. I'm not sure if that's what your looking for since I don't have a smart phone...I'm still in the cell phone stone age & have no desire to leave, lol. Be well @MoJoV.

@MoJoV - I've just gone in now and added 2000 texts to my phone without having to add any minutes.

I have an online account set up for my phone, but it should be the same even if you don't. At the top of the homepage, you click on the second tab "Refill" and it brings up a page showing different plans.

Just scroll past those and you'll see "add-on benefits". I clicked on the "1000 texts for $5" and went to my cart to update it to two thousand. Then I noticed that it offered 1 Gb of data for $8 (instead of the usual $10, if bought alone), so I added that.

It went through with no problem. I agree it's not as user-friendly as it seemed to be in the past, but the offers are still there. I think there can be some confusion because you need to make sure you're on the right "page" (prepaid as opposed to those with monthly plans), but the individual add-ons are still the same for smartphones.
