Toshiba WiFi 24" TV won't connect

Help please. I just bought a 24" Toshiba tv that is wifi ready and I am able to get the yahoo apps to work but whenever I press the Netflix button on the remote control it reads on the tv screen: " Internet connection not found, please try again."

Why am I able to see the yahoo apps and also veiw youtube but not netflix? I have already been in the settings to set up Netflix and I have a choice of ESN but where the ESN is there is a blank space. Toshiba tech is no help. Also the tv won't allow me to update software, same reason, no internet connection found.

All of my other laptops, tablets etc are working fine. Thank you for any advice.

Model # of this tv is 24SL415U

Also under wireless settings on tv it reads that wireless set up was sucessful.
