TomTom GPS sounds

My husband has a TomTom GPS and we are trying to figure out what a particular sound means. It is like a church GONG and it goes off every once in a while and we don't know why. I have looked online at TomTom manuals but don't see this mentioned. Can anyone of my QVC pals help?
