Be careful. They're not telling you which version this one is. On the Apple website, you'll see the iPad Mini 3. On the Apple website, Refurbished stock, you'll see versions 2 and 3 available at reduced prices.

Under FAQs - it says it's the FIRST generation iPad mini - the one just named the "iPad mini", with no numbers after it.

On the Apple site, it's priced at $250 with no accessories.

Q: Which generation of iPad® mini is this?
A: This is the first-generation iPad mini.

I would never purchase electronics from QVC. They always sell older models at outrageous prices. The useless extras they include certainly don't justify the price IMHO. I have many Apple products... but I have purchased all of them directly from Apple.

People must not care that its the 1st generation bc they've sold thousands! Those new paisley prints are a hit! I guess the new colors, easy pay and the free shipping are winners for people. I've been wanting one for a yr or so, but I'm hesitant 2 get it from the Q. The accessories seem 2 be hit or miss. My friend got one from Q a couple of yrs ago and she loves it. She didn't get as many accessories, but she uses them and doesn't think they are cheap.

I just got a mini first gen and I love it. Got a smoking deal for $217. But no accessories came with it except the cable. I got what I wanted on Ebay for under $30 that included what the Q shows except the keyboard; and not sure I really need that.

I had a keyboard case for a while and stopped using it, not as useful as you think and makes it heavier

I would never buy Apple (or any electronics) from Q or any shopping channel. Go to apple.com or go to an apple store. You don't need all the add-ons Q sells and you certainly want to get the most recent version.

I was really disappointed with QVC on this one. I am writing this from my iPad mini, 2nd generation. I brought it from a store, with a case. One of my best purchases. The gentleman on the air earlier said "there are 2 versions of iPad minis for sale from Apple, the iPad mini and the 2nd generation iPad mini". That was incorrect information. The 3rd generation is the current version. I have no issues with them selling the old, original version but they should be truthful about it... I'm sure there would be less returns that way, but maybe less sales too. Hopefully that was not intention.

I purchased the 1st generation iPad mini from ShopHQ, 32 GB, wifi, & ATT cellular plan. I liked it lot. But a just bought directly from Apple the mini 3, 64 gb, with cellular plan, and it does have more bells and whistles than the previous version. But quite frankly tho I like the mini 3 better, I was just has happy with the previous version. If you need the ez pays go for it. But remember its just has 16 gb of memory which isn't a lot.

Don't shy away from the refurbished models. I got an iPad2, three years ago refurbished. It hasn't missed a beat (knocking on wood) and has given me great service. I got a huge discount on it, 64g and everything you see on them is brand new.
