I need to transfer home movies from vhs to dvd to preserve them.
Finding a unit is causing my husband and I to be confused as to the best thing....these units have mixed reviews and are about $250-$300 or more, which isn't so bad, but still. Considering once these 10-20 tapes are preserved we won't need to do this on a regular basis, and simple dvd player/recorders without the tape player are so much more reasonable, we were looking into other options (we are not extremely tech-adept).
I came across the software program on vhstodvd.com and remembered that someone on these boards suggested it.
Can anyone out there give me their opinion on this software? Reviews out there are very mixed, so I just don't know what to do. Reviews on the recording units are very mixed too, adding to my confusion.
