I was thinking of getting this for my elderly mother. She is not tech savvy and doesn't need a high priced tablet. She has a basic Kindle that's just for reading. Do you think this is a good tablet for someone who's not looking to spend a lot of money? Also it's 4GB I assume that's not much storage. You can buy a memory card to enlarge the data storage.TIA

Since the is not technically savoy, I would pass on this. The thing with those types of tablets is that they don't always work well. It often takes technical savoy to click on things to get it to start working again when it goes down. I think someone who is older, and not technically savoy, will become frustrated and not want to use it because of the difficulties. It would be better to get something that is known to work, and is easy to work with, so the person can enjoy the technology and learn to love to use it. If she already has a basic kindle, maybe look at spending a little more to get her the step up kindle fire. Amazon customer service is great, if needed. And reviews show that these work, work well, and are fairly easy to use. It's probably more than you wanted to spend, but in the long run it's a better made product that you know will work, with great customer service, that she has a better chance of really using and learning to love. In my mind that is money better spent.
