I think Best Buy has them too.My husband has these wireless earphones too, bought them from Best Buy. You charge them. These have been a lifesaver since everything he watches has a blasting volume!
Do you have to have a smarttv in order to use wireless headphone? If not, how do they work? I'm interested in them for my step-dad. Thanks!

Melania2, Because the new TV's are so flat they don't have good speakers and the sound is terrible. Thus, you have to buy a soundbar, at the very least.
Now let me save you some trouble. We've gone through 3 Samsung soundbars (for our Samsung Flats) and NONE of them had 1. enough "highs" to allow older ears to hear the dialogue well or 2. the ability to adjust the amount of bass or treble.
Lousy lousy lousy!!!
I saw on TV, right after Christmas, that some company came out with a soundbar that is meant for older ears. That is, more highs. And I think there is some adjustment capability to it. I don't remember the brand, but it is NOT Samsung. It was as some tech show and the reviewers were raving about it. We returned our latest soundbar attempt upon hearing about it, (pun intended) and am waiting for this new soundbar to become mainstream. - Bird

I use Sony wireless headphones. You plug them into the back of the tv and the charging base stays near the tv. I love them and I can hear things that I wouldn't hear by listening without them. I'd recommend the Sony ones for under 100. No need to get fancy with these and overspend.

Thanks! I'm going to call mom this morning and tell her she needs to buy these for step-dad.
Anyone that has them, are they sturdy enough that if you fall asleep in them and roll around, would they break easy?

I bought Sony's updated ones in October and find them heavier than the another pair I have - that is to say, I think they are better for a man's head - so yes, they are sturdy and would hold up if someone fell asleep with them on. The pair I own is: Sony MDR-IF245RK Wireless IF Headphone About $58.

Here is another option. It's a TV ears speaker instead of headphones.
