I haven't seen much talk about this computer For those of you who know about computers is this a good deal? I stated elsewhere I have an HP printer that is only a year old that I'm happy with. I figured I rather spend the money on a computer than get a printer with it. By the way Best Buy will sell you this model printer for $19.99 with the purchase of any HP PC.

Re: TSV HP Laptop With Printer

That printer looked pretty cheap.  I don't know what they valued it at, but my guess is a way too high number.

But for me, aside from the fact that I don't care for the brand, the BIG issue is the AMD processor.  From my experience, I'd stay away from it for that one reason the most.

They charge Intel prices for AMD processors here.

It's not only an AMD processor, but a 6, when they are up to AMD 10 now. Googling the processor, it's about 2-1/2 year old technology.

Gadzooks!  Not only do they always preach these sales as great prices (which they never are), but it seems like they are selling technology that is older and older.

It's a shame that a lot of people don't do their homework and end up with something that's going to be slower and practically obsolete for the same amount of money (or less) that they could spend on brand new and more efficient technology.

It's not my money, so I guess it's none of my business.  I DO recognize that.  But I have a big sense of justice and I just hate to see people spend hundreds of dollars in a way that they get a lot less than they could have.  Plus, let's face it, these TSV computers have to be mega mass produced for a one day sale and you just know that that adversely affects  quality.

In the Best Buy circular the price of the printer is listed at $99.99. If BB will sell you one for $19.99 with purchase of an HP computer I'm guessing it's not that good!

With a lot of what they and to a lesser extent HSN sells as far as laptops, it seems to be old stock the companies need to dump one way or another. It's either QVC or Groupon Goods 😒.  And QVC will claim it's the latest and greatest and sadly, many will never question that and swallow it hook, line and sinker.

This is why I always like to come to the boards so I can get advice on what to do. I'm not a techie so I always appreciate the feedback that is here. I could easily be duped by QVC and HSN!

[ Edited ]

I have been tracking my laptop since Aug. 17.  In the last 36 hours it went from Alaska, to Tennessee, to New Jersey, to my home in PA.  My computer is in my home, but I have not opened it yet.  I hope your laptop soon is on its way to you.

Somers351,

Mine says the same thing.  I already received my printer.  I can't believe it is taking this long to receive it.
