          Thanks for the thread, @HULAGIRL!   I didn't see this one...  I'll add this info here, too.

          Please, everyone, be sure to make a complete backup of your device before you install any updates.

          I usually install a new version as soon as it's available...  but unless there are major security issues there's no reason you have to do so.    This one does have a lot of new features.

          It only took me about 14 minutes for the complete update -- but I didn't try to do it over WiFi.    If you have a computer, and launch iTunes there, and connect the device to the computer, the update will usually go much faster for you.

My iPhone SE has been downloading now for about an hour and ten minutes......its the iTunes thing....still showing on my screen......hope nothing has gone wrong.  I've never had a download issue ever and this ismy 4th iPhone.

          It shouldn't be taking that long.   Do you have a computer, with iTunes installed, that you could use to update that way?

Nope.......it's ok, I'm in no hurry.   The screen on my phone will give a llittle black screen flash every once in a while, so I know something is still happening.  I'm still a pc user, but my next laptop will be a Mac......

          You can install iTunes on a Windows-based computer, also, and do the very same kind of direct update we perform with a Mac (for future reference).    Hope the process finishes soon for you!   I admire your patience!

The itunes thing? You're downloading it through your computer on itunes? I haven't updated that way in years. It's possible it's taking so long because it's updating all the old apps and stuff at the same time that may not have been updated. I don't know, I haven't actually hooked my iphone up to my computer to sync with iphone in ages. @HULAGIRL

The itunes thing? You're downloading it through your computer on itunes? I haven't updated that way in years. It's possible it's taking so long because it's updating all the old apps and stuff at the same time that may not have been updated. I don't know, I haven't actually hooked my iphone up to my computer to sync with iphone in ages. @HULAGIRL

NO...I didn't download through my computer.....it was just offered as an option.
