@SilleeMee : This is so frustrating. I was on the Tracfone  website doing a chat. The page kept reloading. Guy confirmed the Nokia 2760 for $19.99 has service in my area. I kept the chat open while trying to make the purchase and the page kept reloading and we were disconnected. I really hate to call because some of the people are difficult to understand.

@SouthernBee

Sorry you got disconnected. But good to see that you can get service with the Nokia. When I ordered my phone I didn't chat with anyone. I just placed my order on the Tracfone website with no problem.

Is there something I can do to help you with the order?

Re: Suggestions for Easy to use Flip Phone

@SilleeMee : Thanks. I was in the chat asking if the phone number used with the Jitterbug  could be used with the new tracfone , but keeping the Jitterbug phone active until DH decides if he likes the Nokia phone  ? Then we were disconnected.

DH dealing with health issues and more difficult for him to understand .

@SouthernBee , I'm sorry your having issues.  I will add that I don't think you can keep a number on two different phones at the same time.

 We recently added my older sister to our Verizon plan.  She needed a new phone and wanted an iPhone but had never had a smartphone.  I asked for the same thing in case she found it too much for her but they couldn't do it.   Now that was Verizon, not sure on other carriers.

 She ended up trying the 15 plus and loves it now after a month of trying it out, so we were ok, but I was anxious about it.   I hope you can find something he likes.  The original jitterbug flip phone is available new on eBay in case....

@Tori3569 @ : Thanks. Jitterbug told me that I had to change to the Jitterbug Flip 2 because their system would no longer support and issue updates on the original Jitterbug. Going to look on ebay.

My grandma had a similar issue with her Jitterbug Flip 2. Holding the power button for a few seconds usually helps with turning it on and off.

Re: Suggestions for Easy to use Flip Phone

Hi Y'all: I called Tracfone back today. Every flip phone they suggested had the kaiosv3.1 operating system and DH prefers android. More research on Amazon and discovered the TCL Flip 2 has android . I ordered this one and is Tracfone. The one on the Tracfone website was sold out.I appreciate your help.

Re: Suggestions for Easy to use Flip Phone

@SilleeMee : Thank you and I appreciate your help. I didn't want to spend a lot of money . I pay $20 every month for the Jitterbug flip phone and changing to Tracfone  will help a little.

I received email yesterday from Jitterbug/ Lively about the update and changes for the Jitterbug flip. Changes would not help DH. He only wants to make quick and easier phone calls.

You're welcome Woman Happy@SouthernBee

I buy 1-year service plans each year for $$50. I add that plan to a small minutes refill and the total is $70 for a whole year. Minutes carry over year to year and I hardly use them so I buy the smallest minutes they offer.

What exactly is your husband having problems with using a flip phone? Perhaps if you shared the problem he's having, people could recommend a better phone.  For example, are the buttons too small?  Is the screen too small?  Or is his memory the problem?
