DH is very frustrated trying to use his Lively Jitterbug Flip 2 phone. This is supposed to be better. DH loved his first Jitterbug Flip phone very simple and easy. He said no problem answering phone. He stated very difficult or too many steps to make a call and has trouble trying to turn the phone on/off.DH has problems hearing. He refuses to use a smartphone. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I just saw this one on Amazon @SouthernBee . It looks straightforward and has good reviews.

My dad would have loved this one. He had the original Jitterbug but the flip part always kind of bothered him. When it rang it would take him forever to open it, lol. He was 98 however. Good luck!

@SouthernBee Your husband sounds like mine...he has a flip phone and refuses to use a smart phone.
I have no idea how to use his phone...putting in contacts, erasing calls, etc it a nightmare and once I figured it out it took forever to add the contacts!
He asked me to help with something and I tried..googled the answer, tried again and I got very frustrated.
We ended up going to the local Spectrum store....about 30 miles away and in a few mere moments he fixed what needed to be done, ha, ha.....I still won't help him with the phone, it is very frustrating because they are hard to use.
The reason my DH won't use a smart phone is because they are to big! I have a very old Iphone - it is not big....so long story short, sorry I have no answer for you, good luck.

@Tori3569. Do you know if when putting in contacts (on the phone you posted) you have to use the alphabet, letter by letter to add a name? Sheesh, that takes FOREVER!

I don't see that exact info on the page for the phone, but my guess would be yes that's how it is done. You can probably save a number that calls you on that phone though. It also says there are buttons 2-9 that can be programmed for speed dialing.

HATE LIVELY/JITTERBUG
LOVED MY PREVIOUS PHONE.............

@Mom2Dogs : Totally agree and understand. The first Jitterbug phone was so easy, sad that a company changes a good and easy phone. Just received email from Lively/ Jitterbug stating they have heard all the frustration and will be doing phone updates in September. Read email to DH and he said: Not holding his breath! He is so frustrated that he doesn't use the phone. His birthday is 9/18 and trying to find something different.
I had to purchase a smart phone for all of DH patient portals and more work for me.🙄😯
