First I should say - I am hard on my electronics. They go on the road a lot and i have dropped my chromebook numerous times. That said - one day I turned it on and it came on normally then in a few min the screen went to all lines everywhere and shut down. I weird humming noise followed. I assumed it was down for the count. I have a 2 year policy from Square trade so i called them. They said get it fixed so I took it and the repairman said it will need a motherboard and isn't worth fixing - just buy a new one. So today i was about to call sq trade to tell them it needed replaced but decided to plug it in and see what happened and it came on and is working perfectly. The battery is very low after a couple weeks not getting fully charged but otherwise - going strong - I am posting on it right now.

Good for you O/P. I have a strange situation that happened with my tablet a few years back. I was babysitting for my two little nieces both 3 years old. [twins] they somehow got into my pocketbook took out my Acer tablet and decided to give it a swim in my toilet bowl. I took it out of the toilet and wiped it off as good as I could. Dark screen, I thought okay that was the end of that. Until I plugged it in and it powered up.. I could not believe that happened after what the girls did but, it works just fine and still does.
