Square Trade Warrenty for I Pad?

I bought a 1 year warranty at Best Buy when I bought my I Pad and just got an e mail from Square Trade that I can get a 3 year warranty from them for probably $30. more and it covers the same thing like if its dropped. Should I just go back to BB and cancel with them and get the one from ST? Has anyone ever filed a claim with ST?
