Spectrum emails deleting on iPads

All of a sudden if I delete an email on my laptop it deletes it on my iPads. I have some saved on my iPads in my Inbox and they disappear. I went on the Spectrum server to put back in my Inbox( you used to be able to do this with Time Warner) and they are all gone?

Anyone else this happening to? They are in my iPads as usual but once I deleted from my computer this morning they were gone on the server and iPad?

I found how you can change my Spectrum email accounts added to iPads to put delete subject to Never. Then you delete them when you want to.

If its the same email address and you delete it then it is deleted.

The thing is it never did this until this past week. If I deleted them on my computer they were still on my iPad until I deleted them. Maybe Spectrum is deletely them every few days on their server when they used to leave them longer before. I would call them but my account probably would get messed up.

I will just leave them all on my laptop for now as I have plenty of storage always left on the server.

I have my email address linked to my computer, Kindles, and iPad. When I delete an email it is deleted on all my devices.

Check your mail settings especially on the computer. There is a setting where you can choose when an e-mail is deleted off the server. This may also be happeneing if you have the devices set up to sync with each other. If so, it may be set so if you delete something on one device, it deletes it on all devices.

@glb613 I just went on my outlook email and changed the settings on my laptop to save on server.

I will recheck my settings but my daughter walked me through it and I changed it to leave on server until I deleted and my iPad is changed to never.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will never delete any emails until I am 100% sure I don’t need them.

I'm the same way. When I switched to Apple, I thought the syncing was great until I deleted mail on one device and it was gone everywhere. I remembered this setting from my Windows days and sure enough, it was the setting causing the unwanted deletes.
