Sony TV Question TV Has Gone Out

Hubby turned on the TV last night we have a Sony KLD32M3000 model will be 4 years old in Dec and the screen was all Red we could see people on the TV but they were like double image and moving slow and you could see like streaks behind the people anyone experience anything like this with your Sony TV.

If you call a repair man to come out they will charge you a fortune just to look at it and then parts and labor you are at $500 dollars or more. I told hubby just go get a new TV I just don't know if it's worth the repair cost now days. We did contact Sony they told us to reset the TV but that did not work.
