Cleaning lady came today, I thought IPad was put in my cube on bookshelf not within reach. Ipad looked wet but smelled like it was wiped off with furniture polish. Under the iPad screen I can see blotches or random spots. Should I be concerned or anything else needs to be done? I wiped the outside off with a cloth. Any suggestions appreciated.Southern Bee

@SouthernBee My DH accidentally spilled iced tea on my IPad last summer.I blotted the liquid off of the screen.I too noticed some moisture spots under the screen. I turned it off & left the cover open for around 24 hrs. The spots must have evaporated because they were gone. No damage was done. My IPad works fine.

@NicksmomESQ : Thank you. Glad your IPad survived .Ok don't know how to ask this- can't think because upset. After the iPad is not being used the screen turns off or returns to the home screen: How to change this to stay open longer? Can you understand this or know what I am trying to describe? Southern Bee

@SouthernBee Open up the settings.Scroll down to Display & Brightness & click on it.Then scroll down to Auto- Lock.Click on that.Choose how long you want your iPad to stay on before in goes into sleep mode.Click on it. I think that answers your question.

@NicksmomESQ : Thank you. Changed information. Truly appreciate your help and quick response. While trying to reply - received the authenticity or whatever message!!??🤷‍♀️. Enough problems already without the wonky QVC system issues. Tryin to remain on the nice list since Santa is checking everything. Don't need extra help to get in trouble. Southern Bee

@SouthernBee I think I'd remind your cleaning lady NOT to touch it. Could have happened by accident.
I'd suggest that next time she is due to put it safely away in a dresser drawer or some other place she won't be cleaning.

If you're worried, you can put the iPad in a container with dry rice.
When an electronic device gets wet, that's what experts recommended. Shut off all power, dry the outside of the device with a cloth, then put the device in a container with dry rice cover with more rice. The rice will draw moisture out of the electronic device without harming it. They recommend 48 hours in rice for a device that got wet or fell in water, so you may want to try it overnight.

@SouthernBee I agree, that's just weird. I'd tell her to leave my glass of water alone cuz I'm not done! Have you ever done that?
