I have a Motorola tracfone and today I was not able

to open with my pin #. After awhile on the Landline phone , they said I need to replace the SIM card. (If I reset the phone I will lose contacts and photos.)

Anything I need to know? Tracfone could send one but it would take a week...

This is not a new phone. Its about 1 1/2 years old.  Coincidentally the pin suddenly stopped unlocking my phone. Bought a new SIM card but haven't activated yet.

In the mean time, the other NEW phone has a problem giving any sort of notification for texts.  I am needless to say,, extremely frustrated with cell phones!!!

What happens when you call the phone with the PIN problem?

It goes to voice mail.  THe emails  and texts are saved but I can't access a thing cause I cannot open my screen.  Will work on the new sim card tomorrow.

Re: Sim card question

@bargainsgirl so you have an activated older Motorola, and activated Samsung, and an activated new Motorola?  Or did you transfer the Samsung service to the new Motorola...  I am confused...

Thanks for all the replies.

So after much time on the phone and online, it turns out that I need to get a new phone.  The new SIM card did NOT fix the problem.  I do not want to bother resetting the phone. I would need to imput everything back by hand.

Tracfone reassured me that I can get a new phone, call them and they will transfer all my current data, talk , text and current phone # to a new phone.

WHAT A PAIN!  So now I go without a phone for awhile...like the old days!!
