@SilleeMee : Activation of DH new TCL Flip2 phone was interesting. The tracfone customer service was excellent and just a little difficult to understand. I forgot to call Jitterbug/Lively first but she said she would call them. I had to verify my account information and was struggling to remember the account pin number
he hung up on me. The tracfone CS was shocked. I told her to proceed with giving a new phone number. I was on the phone about one hour.
I called Lively and told them services no longer needed to end phone service.
I have been busy trying to add just 3 contacts to the new phone. I thought to hopefully make it easier to add them under favorites but so far only able to add one contact. I will look for help tomorrow on line. So far: DH likes the size of the phone, weight and keypad.

Great! I'm happy that your DH likes the new phone. Hope it's not too difficult to add more contacts. I don't have any on my phone b/c I only use to call a couple of numbers, that's all, so I'm not much help there.

@SilleeMee : Thanks. Of course, I added my number and he wanted his brother and sister. To make it easier will probably tell DH to call me and I will have the siblings to call him.
I can tell that the phone is easier. I was paying $224 per year and today the total for the year was $102. Plus the phone number and account is in DH name. I wrote all the information down and had a copy for me to help DH if he has any problems.
Looks like the tracfone plans are different.
I tried to do the activation on line hoping to look at the plans and select add ons.
I appreciate all your help.

For the most part, I have had really good luck w/tracfone customer service. I normally do chat feature since I'm hard of hearing.
The other day I decided to switch to Visible. Tracfone customer service was very helpful when I needed info to port my number out to Visible. Couldn't get Visible esim to work on my phone (guessing it was probably my lack of tech savvy) so I was able to cancel it, get a refund and port my number back to tracfone. Had some issues, and again, tracfone customer service was very helpful.

@cindyNC if your tracfone is a branded tracfone, I believe you have to unlock it first. There are YouTube videos on how to do this.

@SouthernBee It can't be that hard to add contacts to a flip phone. My late DH had one for a long time before switching to a smart phone. Usually the flips have 9 quick dial (with pressing 1 number) contacts. Didn't the phone come with an instruction pamphlet? Or Google how to add contacts to the specific phone.
I only say this because it's better for your DH to call his siblings himself. Gives him a sense of independence.

@PinkyPetunia : Thanks. I had to pull the manual up on line because the print was too small in the little booklet. Currently looking for YouTube video for help.
Using the online manual the photos for adding contacts was different than what was on his phone.
I used my smart phone and sent text message to his sister asking her to call the new flip phone , thinking then it would be easier to add recent call information as a contact , but she didn't call.

have you tested his phone by you calling his number on new phone...to make sure it is working 'or
using his phone to call you cell phone to check if it rings to yours?

@Ainhisg No, my phone is an unlocked phone I purchased directly from the manufacturer, not from tracfone. But thanks for that info!
