Side-by-side screen comparison: Kindle Touch & Original Nook

My original Nook is about 3 years old. It is the one that has buttons on the side to turn pages. The newer Nook's may have changes.

My Kindle Touch is new.

Glare: bit less on the Kindle Touch. But glare on both is easily resolved by a slight change in viewing angle. My favorite reading place is at my dining room table where I have an overhead lamp & am looking into the light. A slight change in viewing angle resolves glare for both e readers.

Adjusting screen brightness: Not an option on the Kindle Touch. Nook has an auto-adjust feature tat does make a difference in different lighting conditions. Plus you can adjust the brightness on the color touch portion of the screen.

Background (paper) color: Kindle: greyed paper Nook: white boarding on cream color

Crispness of letter: Kindle letters are crisper.

KEY ISSUE: DO I HAVE A STRONG PREFERENCE FOR ONE OVER THE OTHER? No, unless I am flying. Then I will take my Nook. The automatic brightness adjustment helps in bad lighting such as airplanes.
