Share/Mirror iPad to Smart Tv

Is it possible to use the keypad on my iPad on my smart tv?  How would I mirror or share my iPad screen on my tv to do that?  

 

I have a wireless keyboard but it won't work on the tv - the keyboard is old though so I may just need a newer one.   

 

Anyway, I was told there is an easy way to to mirror/share but I can't figure out how to do it.

You have to have a TV with Bluetooth, pair your iPad and TV then when you want to mirror, swipe up and select screen mirroring.  To control your TV using an iPad may need an app.
