Before we made our purchase of our Sharp Aquos TV from Qvc my husband and I did our research to make sure we were getting the best television out there. We purchased the Sharp Aquos Quattron 52" LED/LCD 240 HZ tv back in November 2011. It was supposed to be the best according to our research. And QVC had a good price with free shipping and we got the 6 easy pay option with made it a perfect match for what we wanted. Well, 9 months later, we are finding out that we got a lemon!! We were watching TV one evening and notice a thin red line had just appeared on the TV going from the top, to the bottom. We of course we very concerned, so my husband first called QVC, since we had purchased it from them. Well, they told us to call Sharp because all Qvc does is the selling. My husband called Sharp and after 1 minute of troubleshooting they told him that someone from Sharp would call him back. They did not call back. So, after a week of waiting for them to call us, we just decided to call them! Sharp had informed us that the LCD panel had gone out and that it is common for this to happen on these TV's and that they were gonna send us another TV. OK, we were fine with that until we were told it was gonna be a REFURBISHED TV. We did not buy a refurbished TV, so why are we getting a refurbished TV! Why does Qvc and Sharp continue to sell junk ! And then, when it goes out, send someone else's junk that has been fixed! We have thrown $1500.00 down the tube! We will never buy anything from Qvc or Sharp again. I just wanted to post this to warn other people in case they are contemplating buying from either of these companies. Don't do it! They do not stand by their products.
