Repeating Tracfone LG Ultimate 2 TSV on 1/28/15

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of upgrading - they are repeating the Tracfone TSV (phone with the 4.5 inch screen, gorilla glass, etc.) for $128.96 and free S&H.

We got this when it was the TSV a few months ago but didn't have free S&H and we absolutely love it. This is a great deal, too.

This is a very good phone and a very good deal. I've had my LG Ultimate 2 for about a month now and it's a very good phone. I'd highly recommend it.

For those of you who have this phone, how is the battery life? I just hate charging my phone constantly.

It's not exceptional, but it's okay. I charge mine every night. Only one day was I under ten percent charge when I went to recharge it. If you turn off the wifi (I leave mine on) it will improve battery life, but I get push notifications from several apps so I keep mine on.

We've found the battery life on ours to be very good. We don't even have to charge them every day. We don't use ours much for things like games, but for regular use (texting, phone, Internet) they've been great. (We keep the Wi-Fi on all the time.)

We had the LG Optimus Dynamic II prior to these and that was a good phone, but this one is much better.

I got an email about this offer, and it looks like a great deal, but a couple of years ago, I ordered a Tracfone TSV from the Q and NEVER could get it programmed and I sent it back, I have a flip Tracfone, and love having no contract! I am just a little leery of buying this from the Q since I had problems before!

The smartphones definitely have a learning curve, but once my DH and I moved to our first one, we've never looked back.

However, if all you really want a phone for is making calls and basic texting, you may be better off sticking with what you know. Not everyone wants the capability of a smartphone.

I know I checked this out last time - but could I please have a reminder - what company supplies the network for the Tracfones - their own or someone else?

AT&T and Verizon, but it's always best to check your zip code to make sure there's coverage in your area.

I did think of one caveat with the newer smartphones - when a friend and I travelled to West Virginia last year, my smartphone didn't have any service. If I'd had my older, "non" smartphone, I would've been better off. They run on different systems, so it really depends on where you'll be using it.
