Re: Removing apps from Tracfone

AFAIK, the apps that comes preinstalled on your phone usually cannot uninstall; the best you can do is uninstall the updates and then disable it which keeps you from getting the alerts that there's new update for that certain app. In my experience, there's are only few apps that you're able to move to the SD card but the vast majority will reside in the internal storage of your device. The SD card is usually good to store pictures, music, videos.

Re: Removing apps from Tracfone

I'm rather unfamiliar with "smart" Tracfones but am starting with an older LG Ultimate 2 that was given to me. Also setting up my brother's Samsung J3 Luna Pro. My concern about uninstalling apps is when I get the  "Force Stop, Uninstall Updates, or Disable" message. Anyone know what these 3 choices actually mean? Thanks for any help.

Re: Removing apps from Tracfone

You can, indeed, uninstall apps that come preloaded. When I got the LG Fiesta, the first one I uninstalled was the Facebook app. In addition, I have it set to NOT update automatically. I *never* update apps. Googling "ever since app update" will tell you why. There's absolutely no need for me to update an app, and take a chance on the mischief that often ensues.
