I have a Tracfone Premier (LGL62) I got in Sept 2016. I would like to remove some apps that are installed that I do not use. I get messages saying there is not enough memory for updates. I don't use the phone for much so don't need many of the apps that show on the apps page.
My question is - how do I do it? If I go to apps and select an app, the only choices are Force Stop, Uninstall Updates, or Disable. I doubt disabling will make a difference to the memory issue. I tried googling and all the info says to use the Uninstall button. I do not have one. I tried logging in just to see if other buttons would show up but the same three choices are there.
Has anybody else come across this issue? Any ideas if uninstalling updates also uninstalls the app? I am not overly technical but I know this should be an easy thing to do. I have done it on my tablets without any problems.
Thanks

Try going to the Playstore and pulling up the App from there, it may give you the option to uninstall.
Do you have a separate storage card you installed in your phone? Some Apps, can be moved from internal storage to the storage card.
I had one of those phones and had to get rid of it. Very little internal memory and only a few Apps could be moved to the storage. If you like Apps, that's not the phone to use.

FYI: I also had this issue (not enough memory for updates) a couple of weeks ago. I deleted a lot of old text messages. Once I did that I had enough memory to install the updates.

On my android phone if I just hold my finger on the app icon for a moment the word uninstall appears at the top of the screen. Just move the icon up to that word and it will dissappear. Just be careful what you are removing. Some of the stuff that come with the phone is needed for it to operate correctly and do all the functions you want.

@ 151949 , That only removes it from being displayed on the phone's screen, not from the phone.
When I'm removing apps from my phone I'm in
Settings>Application manager.
@ceekay, go to play store, tap menu in upper left corner, go to Settings. Make sure your phone is not set to update apps automatically. I find most updates are useless, like adding 6 more languages to my keyboard. Useless, but take up a lot of space!

I had the same issue with this phone. I bought a memory card. But a few months ago, I replaced this phone with the LG Fiesta with more memory.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I have tried several and think I should be good to go for awhile. I do not use my phone for much other than a phone and sometimes texting. Occasionally I will check the weather or use Google maps if we are looking for alternate routes someplace. I just see apps like YouTube and Cloud print and know that I will never use them so seems like I could do away with them. For the most part, I have been very happy with this phone. After having to carry one for work for a million years, I try to use my personal one as little as possible. :-)

I have the same issue about updates and would like to delete apps that I don't have a clue what they are so don't want. There are all sorts of google apps that came on the phone.

The google apps cannot be removed. I purchased a SIMS card from Walmart for $12.50 and added the storage to my phone. I hope this helps. I hate that you just cannot remove the unused apps.
