Recs for smart thermostat which sends alerts

The current temperature monitor I use will no longer be supported by the ConnectSense company after Dec. 31. I need something that will call or text me if the temperature of my home drops below 50 degrees. Living in the north offers some challenges when we leave town for any length of time. (The light in the window doesn't work because we have no nearby neighbors.) I have read that many of the smart thermostats will send alerts somehow. Does anyone use one of these for monitoring purposes? If so, which one? Thanks!
