@glb613--Thanks for the advice. I've decided to stream and not bother with Spectrum when my cable promo ends in June. Since my mom died a few weeks ago, I trying to save money because of her medical bills, as well as mine (cancer). Need to save as much as I can.

You're not responsible for your mother's medical bills. Her estate is but not you personally. If someone has advised you otherwise, please get some legal advice.

Maybe there isn't much money in the estate. My brother passed away at 56 years old, he had no wife or children. He left everything to my mother. The rehab place ( where he died) wanted the $1,000 copay, they hounded my mother for it.

I just finished negotiating with Spectrum. It took lots of hours and lots of different agents to arrive at a reasonable price. I asked for a reference # for the call as a way of confirming the price I negotiated. They also did send me an email thank goodness.
I ended my tv and using an antenna now. I will probably stream. Anyhow when my new service started a couple of weeks ago I was also not getting 100 mbps only 3 mbps so I called and a technical support person uploaded some speed codes at his end. Then my speed tested at 90 mbps but I have an ethernet connection and like someone else said your computer runs faster on an ethernet connection as opposed to wifi. My computer is also 8 years old and runs perfectly so I don't think the computer's age is a factor.

The speed you get with Spectrum depends on the area you live in. I guess that might be causing the problem. I would suggest to switch over to another home internet provider instead. You may get Comcast or Xfinity - As they are offering super-fast internet. You can also join Verizon wireless 5 G service. Confirm the durability, reliability, speeds, and prices before picking out a particular service. If you have any questions, visit the authorized retailers of these digital providers of telecom companies, i.e., homeinternetproviders.com.

HTC just came to my area - thinking of changing my internet service to them - does anyone have HTC? How do you like it?
