Re: Question on getting a new Ipad

I just got a new IPad Pro in May. Transferring was super easy. At startup it told me to set them close to each other and it would do the rest. Took lots less time than downloading from the cloud. I was transferring from a 4-5 year old iPad. Don't know if it works for older models than that.

Yes! I just replaced an iPad Air that was definitely more than than 5 years old with a new iPad and this is how it worked.  I really had to do nothing to set up the new one.  Of course, my old iPad was already set to back up to the cloud once a day, so everything was on the cloud.  Believe me, I know nothing and this was a breeze.

It is if you have iCloud. You can transfer it seamlessly with the Cloud.

Yes this is using Quickstart.  But your old ipad must have an ios of at least 13.  They recommend that you have a backup for the old one either in the cloud or in itunes.  I was feeling lucky and did neither, LOL.  It really was so easy.  Took about an hour i think.

It so easy the iPad shows you exactly what you have to do.
