Question on IPad vs Netbook

Hi, Can someone please tell me if the Ipad and the Netbooks can play the facebook games (or any games with flash) like Farmville, Petville etc and go on You Tube? Or must you buy the application for the facebook games or flash games etc for the Ipad? Im thinking the Netbook you can play the games etc but the Ipad you must buy the game applications. I am debating getting a netbook or Ipad not for the above main purpose but more for portability and convenience, but I was just wondering. (I know either is not to replace my notebook). Thanks.
