Just transferred my iTunes to a new computer. None of my playlists are there and none of the songs I downloaded from CDs. Anybody know how to get them? TIA

Did you plug your ipod into the computer? It has to sync (at least that is what mine did). I have my music on both my computer and Ipod. You may also need to update the software.

I haven't used my ipod in a long long time.It appears the software updated itself.

You need to export your play lists from the old computer and transfer them over to the newer computer to get the play lists
You should be able to get a .xtml file from the old version and import it to the new version

I think you connect it to your computer and sync it

Hello Rockopper104
Have you perhaps tried to follow these steps?
a) http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
For songs ripped from CD's , I believe that you should need to have the iTunes Match.

Your iTunes music is saved in one of the following locations:
Windows XP
C
ocuments and Settings[User_Name]My DocumentsMy MusiciTunesiTunes Media
Windows Vista
C:Users[User_Name]MusiciTunesiTunes Media
Windows 7
C:Users[User_Name]My MusiciTunesiTunes Media
Note:[User_Name] will vary. If you are unable to find your username, it is usually named something generic such as "Owner" or "User".
You can import the music back into iTunes after the restore by following the steps below:
1. Find the new location of your music files.
2. Launch iTunes and go to File; Add Folder to Library.
3. Browse to the desired location within the Browse for Folder window and click on the folder you want to add to the library.
4. Click Ok. (Click Select Folder in Windows Vista and Windows 7)

I think this is if you are on the same computer and no changing machines
