I've always had ads to the right when I click a link to an article on Yahoo!'s home page, but at least I could read the articles. I noticed last night, and then today, that when I'm reading an article, two or three "box ads" appear right over the print. If I try to scroll up or down to get rid of them, it takes me back to the home page. Can anyone help? TIA!

Go into your browser(s) setting & make sure the "block popups/ads" option is enabled.
Install/download an ad-blocker.

I use google now..i don't think they will allow me to have adblock?
I use it only for my e-mails and sending emails.

@cowboy samGoogle is a search engine website. It is not a browser.
If you mean you use Google Chrome as your browser then yes, it can use adblockers. All "browsers" can.
Why do you believe a browser will not allow you to use an app or an add-on?

@cowboy sam Are you saying you downloaded an ad-blocker app? If so, from where? Chrome?
If you are using a computer, you must restart your computer to activate. When you reopen your browser, the ad blocker icon should show up in the browser's menu bar.

Thanks for your advice @Mz iMac and @cowboy sam!
I do have Ad Blocker Plus, and that didn't seem to do anything.
So I spent some time last night doing a System Restore. I've done that for various problems in the past and it's always worked. After restoring to an earlier date before the problems started and restarting the computer, I gave up.
This afternoon I called our ISP. The lady said it could be a problem with our modem and she would send a refresh signal. That did it - no more ads blocking content! ![]()
