Question about Windows7

I just got this new computer from Dell that has Windows7. It was already loaded and I didn't get a disk nor did I get any kind of instructions about Windows7.

What really annoys me is that for example I am on QVC, but want to check something on another site, I can't just minimize and open another site without QVC closing. When I go back to the Q, I have to sign in again for these boards.

It's so annoying. Does anyone know how to have several sites open at the same time?
