Question Re Drivers, Please Help

I belong to Big Fish - that is where I purchase all my games. One of the games would not play properly, and Big Fish advised me that I needed an "older" driver and sent me a link to get to it. My questions is: If I install the older driver, will it affect my driver I currently have, and will it affect the games I already have on my computer. Hope this makes sense. I would really appreciate some help on this. Thank you in advance. Terra
