QVC Selling The Amazon Echo

I noticed today QVC now has the Echo available for purchase for $180. I got mine back in February for a prime membership price. I wonder if it will now become available at Best Buy and Target?

I'm not sure but the Echo might be $199 at Amazon's site. Also QVC offers easy pay which is really a help.

Same price at Amazon$179.99, no shipping for Prime members. So the only benefit at Q is easy pay for those who like that. Glad I got mine early for $99

The QVC offer comes with the voice remote. The Amazon direct purchase you have to pay an extra $30 dollars.

I didn't know there was a voice remote, although I did get a remote but never use it. I'm glad I only paid $99 for mine, I wouldn't pay $180 for it. Alexa disappoints me a lot often she doesn't understand what I asked or doesn't know the answer. I find Siri more reliable.

I LOVE my Alexa. I got one for $99, but I paid regular price for a 2nd one. I wanted one at my work. I use her constantly. My uses are: Alarm (to get up), timers for various things, check the time and weather, but especially adding things to my grocery list. The last is my favorite feature.

I rarely use her for music. But it is there if I need it.

Oh and occasionally I use her to check correct spelling.

Edit: I wanted to add that I don't use my remote at home at all but I do at work. If the timer is going off and I want to shut it off, I hit the stop on the remote. It is embarrassing to say "Alexa stop" if I have a customer. LOL

OK, so the deciding point on where to buy Echo is the remote. Some people will want/use it & others will not.

I saw the presentation yesterday. It was close to selling out. I got one on Amazon in the spring, i don't use my remote.
