Problem with Halo "Charge It 3000" charging cable.

This is about the new wallet sized HALO charger sold on QVC. As shown on QVC the included cable for charging this Halo should have a micro-USB tip on one end and a regular USB tip on the other. But I couldn't get the micro-USB end to fit into the HALO as demonstrated on QVC.(Yes, I did try turning the cable over.) Also the regular USB connector on the other end did not fit easily into the USB port on my computer. I didn't want to force it for fear of damaging that port on my computer. I did make it go in with a little more force than I usually use for fitting a USB connector into a USB port. I never did get the other end of this cable with the so-called "micro-USB" connector to fit in the micro-USB port on the HALO. The problem is not with the port on the HALO since other micro-USB cables I have fit in it just fine. Another problem with the cable that comes with this HALO is that on neither end does it look like regular connectors. That is, the so-called "micro-USB" connector does not look like a regular micro-USB connector and the USB connector does not look like a regular USB connector. This is a big problem because when it doesn't look like the right kind of connector you don't want to force it to fit in the port for fear of damaging the port. But a micro-USB to USB cable is a pretty common and standardized piece of equipment nowadays so why not make it LOOK like all the other ones??? Bob C.

Re: Problem with Halo ""Charge It 3000"" charging cable.

Just a possibility - there are 2 cables that come with the Halo - one is a micro USB and the other one is a lightning end for the iPhone 5. It's flat, not hollow like the micro USB. Could you have the lightning cable?

Re: Problem with Halo ""Charge It 3000"" charging cable.

Thanks for responding, Okie. I figured it out. That 2nd separate cable that comes with it does not have a micro-USB connector. Perhaps it does have the iPhone 5 connector. I don't know as I don't have and iPhone. However, I mentioned there is micro-USB cable that pulls out of the right side of the HALO at the bottom. However, I noticed at the top on the right side, this cable can put out as well. I thought this might be the case before but it was harder to pull out and I didn't want to force it. This time I gave it more force and it did pull out. It turned out it does have a regular USB connector on this end. So the cable that comes on the right side of the HALO has a regular micro-USB connector on one end and a regular USB connector on the other. You use this cable to recharge the HALO, by pulling out both ends and using the micro-USB end to plug into the micro-USB port on the HALO and the other to plug into a USB port on a computer. Bob C.

Re: Problem with Halo ""Charge It 3000"" charging cable.

Glad you figured it out. I just got my set yesterday. The instructions that come with it aren't really clear, but toward the end it does say you can use a regular USB/micro USB cable to charge it. So, if you need a longer cable, you can use your phone's cable. My Samsung's charging cable fits fine
