Printing on Card Stock

I was contemplating purchasing a pdf file on Etsy...but, the instructions say to print the file on card stock. Has anyone had experience with this type of printing? I was wondering if I could get the file printed on heavy paper at a copy store? Has anyone purchased this type of pdf file from an Ebay or Etsy seller? What was your experience like, how did you use the file? Thanks
