I'm thinking of replacing my cheapo older HP inkjet all in one printer with a AIO mono laser printer. I just replaced both the color & black cartridges in it maybe a month ago w/new HP factory cartridges & haven't printed much of anything since & went to print a bunch of pages that I really needed & it spit out 4 pages of blank nothing! I live in such a dry climate that I think the ink dries out in no time flat on me. Would a laser printer work better for me? I've only used a laser printer in a workplace setting & it's been 10+ years ago, but I recall having to take shake the toner cartridges when it would start to print a little dim, but it didn't dry out like the trouble I'm having. But that was in rainy Seattle, too, not dry AZ! I don't particularly need to print in color, but I do need it to print when I ask it to! Inkjet cartridges are not cheap, especially if they're only good for a month or so, so i'm thinking laser would be more cost effective. TIA
