It has been awhile since I have posted photos.  I went to post some and they all appear too large.  Has there been a change in size allowed or something else I missed?  TIA.

@Lilysmom1  Nothing changed.  About 25% of my "photos" are too large.  I just resize them.  Eazy peesy on a Mac computer.

On a Mac(OS) = computer - You can use Preview to resize.  Or you can download this FREE app - ImageOptim.  With that app you just drag & drop the photo onto the app & it does all the work for you.

Sorry, I am unable to help for Windows (OS) & iOS devices.  I am assuming that you can still use Preview to resize on their iOS devices.

I also seem to be running into more photos that are too large to be posted lately.

@Lilysmom1 I have also run into the "size too large" issue.

The easiest way I found to get around it , is to take a screen shot of the picutre or pictures I want to share, and then crop the pics a bit and it has worked so far.
Try it out and see if it works for you.

@Lilysmom1   Wish I could help but I just wanted to say I do miss your beautiful pictures!   Hopefully you can figure it out without too much trouble.   I was in Europe for a month and have been slowly getting back into these threads.........I have missed my forum friends!  Good luck!

@Lilysmom1 I am having the same issue. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for which photos are labeled too large. There was a way to adapt the photo on the drop down feature. That was replaced somewhat recently with an automatic upload. The automatic upload on both my iPads  does not allow for adjustments.

Recently I posted a thread on the movie being filmed in our area. Some of the best photos would not load. Today,  many of my favorite Smokey Bear photos would not load. I can't do the computer workaround since my photos are not on my computer.

I know we are missing some beautiful images. I wish the sizing feature would return to the drop down.

@Pezzie I tried the screen shot trick, edited photos, and did everything I could think to do. Nothing worked. The photo I have of elk, deer, and horses together in one frame is probably the most disappointing. I have never seem them together before and may never see them again.

I typically use Photoshop Elements to resize photos. They give you multiple options, but I mostly use the file size one as file size seems to be the limiting factor here.

It does that to me all the time too!  Sometimes, I'm able to crop the pictures I've taken and finally they'll fit.  A lot of times though, it just ruins the picture by cropping too much out.  I've not been able to post some of my best because of that.😔

The maximum file size allowed here is 3072 KB, or 3.072 MB. The photo information or properties in your device shows the size of the photo. File sizes can be reduced without cropping by using photo editing software on your device, or one of the online file compressor websites. wecompress.com and tinypng.com are a couple of examples.
