Up until now,I have been deleting photos from my iPhone by connecting my phone to my MacBook via cable, and then downloading to my computer. I know lots of people use a third party app, such as Google Photos, or Shutterfly. If you would care to share your experiences, opinions, and recommendations, I would appreciate it. Thanks so much!

Mine auto sync over wifi to icloud and my imac ( which then backs them up using timemachine) I don't really think I need them saved to a fifth location.

I synch or import my photos with my iMac. I do periodic backups using Time Machine and use the drag and drop method to an external hard drive.

I put most on Flickr and some on Photobucket ... and backup on the iPhone Cloud app.
And ... some albums are on Facebook.
I clean out the iPhone pics whenever I'm alerted to storage volume.
